This is the Jackalope. I created this cryptid creature / monster art for Fairytales and Myths.
The legend of the jackalope, a vicious creature said to be a cross between a jackrabbit and an antelope, is said to have originated in Persia.
I especially enjoyed creating this monster artwork since I could put a new spin on the creature, which is normally depicted as cute and fluffy. How terrifying would it be if a horde of these red-eyed creatures came running at you in the middle of the night in a dark forest?
