This is the Loch Ness Monster. I created this cryptid creature / monster art for Fairytales and Myths.
Ol’ Nessie is a lake-dwelling creature said to inhabit the waters of Loch Ness in Scotland. The creature resembles a plesiosaur and is thought to have remained in the lake for thousands of years.
I based this modern take on an old sketch from a 1934 newspaper clipping that was the artist’s conception of the description provided by a Loch Ness Monster sighting by Arthur Grant, a Veterinary student. The client wanted a certain type of art style, but I also created a 2nd, more realistic version for fun.
