This is the Lusca . I created this cryptid creature / monster art for Fairytales and Myths.
The Maero are Sasquatch-like creatures from the legends of the Maori of New Zealand. By this point in the large art project, I had created so many variants of Bigfoot that I wanted to try a different approach, especially since they were described as being “wild men of the forest” in the lore. The result was like a lost tribe of Neanderthal.
