This is Chessie. I created this cryptid creature / monster art for Fairytales and Myths.
Chessie is an alleged serpentine monster that lives in Chesapeake Bay.
This artwork was created well after the Champ plesiosaur-style monster art that incorporated the Lake Champlain Bridge as a real-life reference point. I tried a similar approach with this Chessie art, but this time around I made certain that the monster was the foreground focus while the Chesapeake Bay Bridge was just the background.
